I can draw many parallels between my live audio mixing events and education. To begin with, neither are for the faint of heart. To be sure they both require you to be capable of multitasking at a high level. Maybe it's handling multiple vocalists & instruments, or maybe it is dealing with an eager classroom of Grade 10's disassembling an engine for the first time. The stakes are high in both situations.

The expectation that I have for myself as an educator is to provide a safe and inclusive space for my students to gain real-world skills that will help them to find success in their future - no matter what that future may include. I work to accomplish this by providing a foundational set of skills that can be applied to problem solve a variety of challenges.
