Good educators enjoy the process of learning. They also understand that all learners are different and a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. Whether as a technician working in a shop, or a classroom teacher, I have always looked for opportunities to increase my knowledge through skills acquisition.

To that end, after becoming an educator, I pursued several additional qualification (AQ) courses to expand my personal toolkit in order to excel in my new career.  Since becoming an educator with my current school board, I have taught a wide range of courses - from Religion to Computer Engineering. Each of these courses presented their own challenges and rewards. I have always been happy to accept a challenge as I believe that is where personal growth happens. My current personal passion is working towards becoming a Private Pilot.
